1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website, scheduling an on-site estimate, or authorizing arboricultural work, you agree to be bound by these terms, our safety guidelines, and applicable Illinois laws.
2. Estimates & Service Scope
Written estimates are provided free of charge for properties within our published Central Illinois service territory. Estimates are valid for 30 calendar days and reflect observed physical conditions at the time of inspection. Additional costs may apply if concealed subterranean obstructions (buried concrete, bedrock, metal fence posts) or hazardous structural decay are uncovered during work.
3. Underground Utilities & JULIE 811
In accordance with Illinois state law, public underground utility lines (gas, electric, municipal water, telephone, cable) will be located through JULIE 811 prior to mechanical stump grinding or deep root excavation. Property owners are responsible for notifying our crew of private underground lines not marked by JULIE, such as private electric dog fences, secondary landscape lighting wires, and private irrigation sprinkler pipes.
4. Electrical Line Hazards & Utility Demarcation
Work within 10 feet of energized high-voltage distribution lines requires coordination with local electrical utilities: City Water, Light & Power (CWLP) in Springfield or Ameren Illinois in outlying areas. Work will only proceed when safe clearances or temporary de-energization are confirmed.
5. Insurance & Liability
On The Grind, Tree Stump Removal maintains $2,000,000 General Liability insurance and complete statutory Workers' Compensation coverage. Certificates of Insurance (COI) are provided upon request prior to project initiation.

On The Grind, Tree Stump Removal is a fully insured and bonded tree care and stump grinding service founded in 2019, proudly serving Springfield, Sherman, and all surrounding Sangamon County communities.
